Former Detroit Lions defensive lineman John Cominsky retired from the NFL in March 2025 after sustaining three concussions during his 2023 campaign. The 30-year-old spent five seasons in the league, playing for the Atlanta Falcons and the Detroit Lions while recording 107 tackles and 7.5 sacks. Following his departure from professional football, Cominsky has focused on community health initiatives through the Cominsky Family Foundation in Northeast Ohio. He currently hosts wellness sessions at a drug and alcohol treatment center in Massillon, incorporating breathing exercises and physical movement into patient recovery.
