John Daly II to compete in OccuNet Classic under sponsor exemption

John Daly II will participate in the OccuNet Classic at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo from June 11-14, following a sponsor exemption announcement. This event marks Amarillo's first Korn Ferry Tournament since 1990. Daly II, a recent University of Arkansas graduate, expressed excitement for his professional debut, having previously excelled in amateur competitions. Alongside him, local golfer Wyatt Provence qualified for the tournament and Ryan Palmer, a four-time PGA TOUR winner, plans to compete as well. The tournament is part of a Route 66 Cup series offering a $100,000 bonus prize pool.
