The 6’3” Manchester-born fighter does look to have the higher ceiling, but you have to fight fights like this to find out what’s real and what’s just been the eye test so far. Coming off of a dominant TKO win over veteran Vasil Ducar in April. 24-year-old Hedges (12-0, 3 KO) doesn’t have Brown’s power, which looks the big separator, but he’s also a 6’6” southpaw who has similarly done well for himself, and beaten some familiar names on the domestic scene in his last two, wins over Nathan Quarless and Ellis Zorro. Undercard Shabaz Masoud vs Ckari Cani Mansilla, featherweights, 10 rounds Preview: Masoud (15-0, 4 KO) is moving up to featherweight here, having already won the European title at 122 lbs, as well as the IBO belt if you care about that. More important than those belts, his wins over Liam Davies and Peter McGrail were genuinely solid wins, and the 30-year-old “Maverick” takes aim at a new division. The world titles at 126 aren’t going to be easy to win, either, but in theory maybe a bit easier than beating Naoya Inoue. Mansilla (19-4, 13 KO) is a 34-year-old Argentine who has come over to the UK and won, upsetting then-unbeaten Dylan Price in May 2025 via eighth round KO. Overall, he’s just 4-3 in his last seven fights, but that win over Price makes him bookable for this fight against Masoud, just on location. Kieron Conway vs Mark Jeffers, super middleweights, 10 rounds, British title eliminator Preview: This could be a good one, there’s Fight of the Night potential here. Well-matched, two good, domestic-level vets in Conway (23-4-1, 7 KO) and Jeffers (20-2, 7 KO). Jeffers, 28, is coming in off of back-to-back losses to Sean Hemphill and Willy Hutchinson, so he really needs the win, and to be fair he’s really a super middleweight, and he fought Hutchinson at 175. And Hutchinson is good. Conway, 30, was stopped in 10 by George Liddard when his corner threw the towel last October, and this is his first fight back, after winning the British and Commonwealth middleweight titles, which he then lost to Liddard. Joe Howarth vs Corey O’Regan, lightweights, 10 rounds Preview: 24-year-old Howarth (15-2, 4 KO) is nicknamed the “Wigan Warrior,” but being real, he’s never beaten a truly credible pro, and he lost clear to Giorgio Visioli in a step-up last December. O’Regan (15-1, 3 KO) is 30, a southpaw out of Yorkshire, has also really only beaten club fighters, was stopped in five by Jack Rafferty in a Commonwealth title fight at 140 in April 2025.
