General manager John Lynch stated on Monday that the status of Brandon Aiyuk with the 49ers has not changed. Aiyuk continues to remain on the reserve/left squad list and is not currently on the active roster. The 49ers placed the receiver on the list in December, and he remains ineligible for play. Lynch noted that the organization does not owe Aiyuk any money because the player defaulted on his contract, which voided his guaranteed pay and the option bonus due on September 1. Aiyuk previously stated in July that he does not intend to reinstate with the team or conduct further business with the organization. The player remains away from the team and has not provided any indication that he intends to change his stance regarding his future.
