John McEnroe praised Carlos Alcaraz for his significant influence on men's tennis during a recent interview with El Larguero. McEnroe, who considers Alcaraz his favorite player, stated that the Spaniard's arrival has helped bridge the gap between generations of players. Reflecting on Alcaraz’s injury struggles earlier this year, McEnroe expressed relief at seeing him return and reclaim a title in Tokyo. He noted the potential for Alcaraz to dominate upcoming events, especially with key rivals like Jannik Sinner sidelined for the remainder of the season, placing him as a favorite for the Shanghai Masters and beyond.
