John Michael Faile breaks the Dayton Dragons all-time home run record

John Michael Faile set the Dayton Dragons franchise record for career home runs on Saturday. The 26-year-old hit his 31st career home run in the bottom of the first inning during a 9-5 win against the West Michigan Whitecaps. This performance eclipsed the previous franchise record of 30 home runs held by Chris Williamson since 2002. The Dragons also set a new single-season record for total runs scored on Friday, surpassing the previous mark of 730 runs established in 2000. The team concludes its six-game series against the West Michigan Whitecaps today with a scheduled first pitch at 1:05 p.m.
