Jonathan Kuminga signs with Timberwolves after Lakers' offer

Jonathan Kuminga has signed a two-year, $13 million contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves after a protracted free agency process. The Lakers, who offered a more lucrative deal, were unsuccessful in their attempts to acquire him. Kuminga opted for Minnesota over offers from the Lakers, Bulls, and Trail Blazers, seeking stability and control over his future. The Timberwolves aim to fill the void left by Julius Randle's departure, while the Lakers had been exploring trade options for Kuminga with potential complexities involving the Hawks.
