During his tenure with Atlanta, Kuminga played 16 regular-season games and six playoff games, averaging 12.3 and 13.7 points respectively. His agent, Aaron Turner, claimed Kuminga provided the highest winning impact on the team, citing on/off net rating data. However, NBA.com records indicate Kuminga ranked sixth on the team in net rating for the period he was active and held a negative net rating during the playoffs. The Hawks did not engage in a sign-and-trade deal, meaning they received no assets for his departure. Kuminga will now prepare for the upcoming NBA season with his new roster in Minnesota.
