Jonathan Taylor pursues rare rushing touchdown milestone for Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor enters the 2026 NFL season with 69 career rushing touchdowns. He needs 11 more scores to reach 80 career rushing touchdowns before his 28th birthday on Jan. 19, 2027. Reaching this mark would place him among a small group of historical players including Emmitt Smith, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Jim Brown, who all accomplished the feat before age 28. Taylor recorded 18 rushing touchdowns and 1,585 yards on 323 carries during the 2025 season. He also led the league with 835 yards after contact last year. The Colts running back has maintained an average of 11.5 rushing touchdowns per season over his first six years in the league. Provided he remains healthy throughout the regular season, the target of 11 additional touchdowns is considered reachable based on his recent career pace.
