Jonelle Clark launches foundation for coaches’ health after husband's death

Jonelle Clark has established the Shawn Clark Legacy Foundation following the death of her husband, Shawn Clark, a UCF football coach, due to a medical emergency last fall. The foundation's main initiative, the 61 Initiative, advocates for annual health screenings for college coaches to promote mental and physical well-being. The initiative is inspired by Shawn’s unexpected health decline, which highlighted the need for preventative care among coaches. Jonelle's mission was recently presented at the American Football Coaches Association convention, advocating for a cultural shift in prioritizing health in college sports.
