Jordan Love faces potential fine for Halloween costume mocking refs

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love may be facing a fine from the NFL after he and his wife, Ronika Stone, dressed as blind referees for Halloween. Their costumes, featuring striped shirts and yellow penalty flags, sparked controversy following the Packers' 20-17 loss to the Detroit Lions, during which Love faced criticism over officiating. NFL rules typically impose fines for players who criticize officials, with recent fines suggesting Love could incur a penalty of at least $25,000. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur acknowledged the humor in Love's costume but avoided commenting on its implications. Precedent exists where other figures in the league faced no penalties for similar actions, but the NFL's stance remains firm on player conduct regarding officiating.
