Jordan Ott downplays social media saga before Suns-Rockets game

Ahead of the game between the Phoenix Suns and Houston Rockets on November 8, 2026, Suns assistant coach Jordan Ott addressed the recent social media back-and-forth involving players Kevin Durant, Mat Ishbia, and Dillon Brooks. Ott, in a light-hearted manner, advised not to focus on social media distractions, emphasizing the importance of concentrating on game preparation. The incident stemmed from Ishbia’s comments on Durant’s influence with the team, which Durant responded to, prompting Brooks' remarks. While Ott expressed confidence that distractions would not affect the team, the ongoing dialogue may add intensity to the matchup. The game is anticipated to feature some competitive exchanges, particularly for Durant.
