Jordan Teze stays at AS Monaco after Everton signs Ainsley Maitland-Niles

Jordan Teze will remain with AS Monaco after Everton withdrew interest in the 26-year-old defender. Everton pursued the Monaco full-back as a potential loan option to address depth concerns on the right side of their defense. The Premier League club ultimately shifted focus to sign Ainsley Maitland-Niles from Lyon in a €5m transfer. AS Monaco management declined to release Teze, citing the player's tactical versatility within the squad. Filipe Luis continues to lead a side that remains the only team in Ligue 1 with a perfect record after securing opening victories against Le Havre and Olympique de Marseille. Monaco prepares for an away match against PSG this Friday.
