Jordan Walker records first home run since Home Run Derby win

Jordan Walker of the St. Louis Cardinals hit his first home run since winning the 2026 Home Run Derby on Saturday night against the Colorado Rockies. The home run occurred in the eighth inning, but St. Louis lost the game 8-6, falling to a record of 58-59. Walker had not hit a home run since the All-Star break and had gone 19 games without one, despite a strong batting average of.368 in August leading up to this game. This performance may provide a boost for Walker as he seeks to regain his power at the plate while the team struggles below.500 as the season progresses.
