Real Madrid midfielder Thiago Pitarch will remain with the club after Jose Mourinho intervened to prevent a transfer to Fulham. Mourinho informed Pitarch that he would play a key role in his plans for the upcoming season. The decision comes amid uncertainty about Pitarch's future, especially with Fulham's interest led by former Real Madrid manager Alvaro Arbeloa. Pitarch is recovering from a knee injury but is expected to be fit and join the squad by the end of the month, allowing Mourinho to assess his capabilities directly.
