Summary

Real Madrid head coach Jose Mourinho begins his second stint with the club by facing his former team, Inter Milan, in a Champions League match on Tuesday at the Santiago Bernabeu. Mourinho returns to the Madrid sidelines following a summer appointment by club president Florentino Perez, tasked with returning the 15-time champions to European success. The veteran manager previously led Inter to a historic treble in 2010 before his initial move to the Spanish capital. Real Madrid enters the fixture following their first defeat of the season, a 1-0 loss to Real Betis this past Friday.
