José Mourinho, newly appointed manager of Real Madrid, is reportedly not planning to include Ferland Mendy in his plans for the upcoming season. Mendy, who has struggled with injuries, made only nine appearances in the 2025-26 season. The club is finalizing the signing of Marc Cucurella from Chelsea for €60 million, expected to fill Mendy's position. Mendy remains under contract until 2028 but is currently injured and expected to be sidelined until November, complicating any potential transfer discussions. Real Madrid is likely to face challenges in offloading him due to these circumstances.
