Jose Mourinho targets Mateus Fernandes for Real Madrid this summer

Jose Mourinho has made Mateus Fernandes a top priority for Real Madrid as the new manager. After reinforcing the defense with Ibrahima Konaté and Denzel Dumfries, Mourinho seeks midfield support, particularly targeting the West Ham midfielder. Fernandes, valued at approximately €90 million, stands out amid uncertainty at West Ham following their relegation. His omission from Portugal's World Cup squad has raised questions about his selection, though major clubs, including Manchester United and Chelsea, have shown interest. Mourinho aims to secure Fernandes, with Jorge Mendes potentially aiding the transfer.
