Jose Mourinho targets Real Madrid's defense for summer improvements

Jose Mourinho has highlighted the defensive shortcomings of Real Madrid following the previous La Liga season, despite their top defensive statistics. The team struggled with injuries and inconsistent lineups, leading to a need for a comprehensive defensive revamp. Mourinho has communicated to the club's administration his priority to strengthen the defense with players who can adapt to various scenarios. He is particularly interested in acquiring central defenders like Josko Gvardiol and Riccardo Calafiori, and seeks a balance of attacking and defensive capabilities among full-backs. This focus aims to ensure stability and depth in the back-line ahead of the new season.
