Josele Ballester and Luis Masaveu advance from first stage of Q-School

Josele Ballester and Luis Masaveu advanced to the second stage of the DP World Tour Q-School following a weather-impacted opening round at Huddersfield Golf Club. Ballester finished tied for eighth at three-under after a final round of 65, recovering from early struggles in the tournament. Masaveu secured his spot after carding a 71 to finish at level-par, narrowly meeting the cut-off for the top 19 players. The event was marked by high winds that significantly affected scoring conditions for the field. Peter Uihlein, who had previously qualified for the tournament, was disqualified after failing to appear for his third-round tee time. These players will join Michael La Sasso and Yosuke Asaji at the second stage of the competition, which is scheduled to occur at Golf-und Country Club Seddiner See in Germany from October 29 through November 1.
