Joseph Truman earns silver in Commonwealth men's time trial

England cyclist Joseph Truman secured a silver medal in the men's 1,000m time trial at the Commonwealth Games. He finished behind Australian Leigh Hoffman, who set a new Commonwealth Games record with a time of 58.530 seconds. Truman's teammate, Harry Ledingham-Horn, initially led the standings but ultimately placed fourth. Australia’s Tayte Ryan took the bronze, edging out Ledingham-Horn. Another record was briefly held by England's Matthew Robertson in the men's C1-C3 3000m individual pursuit qualification before being surpassed by Scotland's Fin Graham. The two will compete for gold in the afternoon session.
