Josh Brown assumed the head coaching position at Fresno City College this season, following the retirement of long-time coach Tony Caviglia. Brown, who brings two decades of coaching experience from institutions including UTEP and Cal Poly, leads the program after Caviglia held the post for 27 years. The team opened the 2026 season with a narrow victory against Sierra, securing the win with a late-game score. In their subsequent home opener, the Rams earned a 24-10 win. Quarterback Christian English noted the team's focus on maintaining a competitive culture under new leadership. Brown, a former junior college player, stated that his primary objective centers on the development of his players as the program continues its pursuit of a title this year.
