Josh Heupel, Willie Gault, Deon Grant appear on 2027 Hall of Fame ballot

Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel and former players Willie Gault and Deon Grant are on the 2027 College Football Hall of Fame ballot. Heupel is on the ballot for the seventh consecutive year, credited with a successful playing career as a quarterback at Oklahoma. Gault, a standout receiver in the early 1980s, set multiple SEC records and was a first-round NFL draft pick. Grant, a key safety for the Vols from 1997-1999, was a consensus All-American and helped Tennessee secure a national championship in 1998. The official ballot was released on June 2, 2026.
