Most of those who had roared themselves hoarse as he powered to Commonwealth gold had long gone. But after a few tears on the podium, Kerr spent more than half an hour posing for every selfie and signing every autograph. It took quite some time, as the terminator on the track turned out to be a chatterbox off it.
