Joshua Zirkzee linked with potential Serie A return before transfer deadline
Summary

Napoli and Juventus are considering a move for Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee as the transfer deadline approaches on September 1. Zirkzee has not made a significant impact in the Premier League, having scored only five league goals since his £36m transfer from Bologna in 2024. Despite a positive pre-season, his limited starts raise questions about his future at Old Trafford. Both Serie A clubs seek to bolster their attacking options, with Napoli particularly interested in adding competition for Rasmus Hojlund. Zirkzee previously excelled in Serie A, scoring 13 goals for Bologna in the 2023/24 season.
