Josiah Hartshorn debuts with Knoxville as Iowa and Knoxville win

The Knoxville Smokies defeated the Birmingham Barons 8-7, while the Iowa Cubs beat the Toledo Mud Hens 9-3. Josiah Hartshorn, Angel Cepeda, and Michael Gupton joined the Knoxville roster following the conclusion of the South Bend season. In his Double-A debut, Hartshorn recorded one hit and two runs batted in across three at-bats. The Smokies successfully stole 11 bases, led by Kane Kepley with four. For Iowa, Braxton Garrett earned the win after limiting the Mud Hens to one unearned run over five innings, and Kevin Alcántara hit his 20th home run of the season. To accommodate the promotions, Drew Bowser, Dom Krupinski, and Jacob Wallace were moved to the Development List.
