Josiah Trotter records sack and interception touchdown in NFL debut

Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie linebacker Josiah Trotter registered a sack and a pick-six during his NFL debut against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. Trotter recorded his first career sack against quarterback Joe Burrow early in the third quarter to force a Cincinnati field goal. Later in the quarter, he intercepted a pass intended for Andrei Iosivas and returned it for a touchdown. The play narrowed the Cincinnati lead to 27-20 during the second half of the ongoing game. A second-round selection in April’s draft, Trotter played collegiately at Missouri and West Virginia. He is the son of former four-time Pro Bowl linebacker Jeremiah Trotter and the brother of Philadelphia Eagles player Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
