Josko Gvardiol signs contract extension with Manchester City until 2031

Manchester City defender Josko Gvardiol has officially agreed to a new contract that extends his stay at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2031. The Croatian international was previously a target for FC Barcelona and Real Madrid but has now committed to City, making a move to Spain unlikely. City had been working on the contract extension for some time, especially in light of Pep Guardiola's departure. While Barcelona remains in the market for a new center-back, they have shifted their focus to signing a striker, with Julian Alvarez reportedly at the top of their wishlist.
