Julian Alvarez absent from Atletico Madrid's kit launch amid Barcelona links
Summary

Atletico Madrid unveiled their 2026-27 home kit, featuring players like Marcos Llorente and Marc Pubill, but Julian Alvarez was absent. His omission has sparked speculation, particularly as Barcelona shows interest in the Argentine forward. Alvarez has expressed a desire to leave Atletico, and with a contract lasting until 2030, negotiations remain complicated. Atletico is reluctant to facilitate a transfer to a domestic rival, while Barcelona is not prepared to meet his €500 million release clause. These dynamics suggest that Alvarez's future at Atletico Madrid hangs in the balance.
