Julian Alvarez attempts to force move to Barcelona from Atletico Madrid

Julian Alvarez is making efforts to secure a transfer to Barcelona as the club seeks a replacement for Robert Lewandowski. The Argentine forward is ready to undertake a second gesture to pressure Atletico Madrid into selling him. Alvarez feels let down by Atletico after believing he would be allowed to leave for a significant offer. Barcelona has submitted a €100 million bid for Alvarez, who is willing to intensify his push for a move before resuming training on August 10. The Catalan club is expected to wait to see if Alvarez's actions can compel Atletico to negotiate.
