Julian Alvarez relationship with Atletico fans reaches breaking point

Summary

Julian Alvarez faced a hostile reception from Atletico Madrid fans during a recent match against Villarreal, where he was booed and insulted. The 26-year-old's relationship with supporters has deteriorated amid ongoing uncertainty over his future, including strong links to Arsenal and a desire to move to Barcelona. Despite head coach Diego Simeone's defense of Alvarez, who cut a subdued figure on the pitch, the situation seems precarious. Atletico reportedly demands around €150 million for Alvarez's transfer, but sources indicate Arsenal may hesitate to meet that figure. The striker's previous issues with UK visa restrictions also complicate potential negotiations with the Premier League club.
