Junior Caminero hits 30th home run, joins elite MLB group

Summary

Junior Caminero of the Tampa Bay Rays hit his 30th home run of the season during a game against the Chicago White Sox on July 31, 2026. This milestone makes him only the 12th player in the modern era to have multiple 30-homer seasons before turning 23, joining legends like Mike Trout and Ted Williams. Caminero's fourth-inning solo shot was notable for its estimated distance of 453 feet and marked the end of a 12-game homer drought. With over 50 games remaining in the season, he aims for another 40-plus home run campaign after hitting 45 last year.
