Junior kicker Charles Szares emerges as a standout for Notre Dame

Sherman Oaks Notre Dame junior Charles Szares has established himself as a versatile contributor for the football team during his first season as a varsity starter. Through four games, Szares has maintained a perfect record on field goals and point-after attempts. His performance included a 45-yard field goal in a recent win over Oaks Christian. Beyond his placekicking duties, Szares manages punting responsibilities and recorded eight touchbacks during his most recent appearance. The Notre Dame program maintains a history of producing notable kickers, including Chris Sailer, Nick Folk, and Kai Forbath. Szares, who also competes in soccer, continues to train with Sailer while holding two remaining seasons of eligibility at the high school level.
