Justin Allgaier loses points lead after finishing 13th at World Wide Technology

Justin Allgaier finished 13th in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Nu Way 225 at World Wide Technology Raceway on Saturday, falling out of the top spot in the points standings. The Riverton native faced multiple challenges during the 180-lap race, including an unscheduled pit stop for a loose tire after the first stage and additional time lost due to a dropped tire by his pit crew. Late in the race, damage to the right front of his No. 7 Chevrolet sustained during a collision between William Sawalich and Corey Day hindered his performance. Jesse Love secured the race victory, while Sheldon Creed moved into the series points lead. Allgaier now trails Creed by three points with seven events remaining in the season. Following the race, Allgaier discussed his frustrations with the crew chief for Sawalich regarding how on-track incidents impacted drivers competing in The Chase.
