Justin Bailey, a former forward for the San Jose Sharks, has signed a one-year contract with Barys Astana in the KHL. Bailey, who previously played for the Sharks during the 2023-24 season, returns to professional hockey overseas after a stint in the AHL with the San Diego Gulls. During his time with the Sharks, he played in 59 games, recorded five goals and 14 points, and was nominated for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy. At 31, this marks Bailey's first venture into international play after joining the Sharks organization from the Buffalo Sabres, where he was originally drafted in 2013.
