Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson expressed his support for LSU football head coach Lane Kiffin amid public scrutiny regarding the program's reputation. Kiffin previously faced backlash from the SEC over an attempted roster expansion that involved adding former NFL players Zxavian Harris and Dae’Quan Wright. The university ultimately abandoned that plan following potential sanctions and a federal lawsuit from the conference. Despite the controversy, Jefferson views Kiffin’s confrontational approach as a positive development for the team's identity. He noted that while LSU is adjusting to a new quarterback, defensive unit, and receiving corps, the team showed potential by scoring 50 points in their recent performance against Clemson. Jefferson expects the program to continue developing its chemistry throughout the season as they move into SEC play.
