Juventus pursued Davide Frattesi before his summer transfer to Lazio

Juventus attempted to sign midfielder Davide Frattesi during the recent summer transfer window before he completed a move to Lazio. Executive Giovanni Carnevali initiated discussions to bring the player to Turin, viewing him as a key addition to the midfield tactical setup. However, the move stalled after coach Luciano Spalletti expressed concerns regarding the player's fit within his tactical requirements, ultimately withholding his approval. Frattesi, who previously played in the Lazio youth system, remained committed to returning to the Italian capital. Since joining the club, the midfielder has established himself as a regular starter under coach Gennaro Gattuso. He has recorded three goals in his first three Serie A appearances, contributing to victories against Bologna, Genoa, and Udinese.
