Kahleil Jackson prepares for Florida return against Florida Atlantic

Florida wide receiver Kahleil Jackson is set to return to the field on Saturday, September 5, in the Gators' season opener against Florida Atlantic at The Swamp. The seventh-year senior has been sidelined for over two years after sustaining an ACL and MCL tear during the 2024 season opener against Miami, followed by a subsequent procedure to address cartilage damage. After joining the program as a walk-on in 2020, Jackson enters this season as a veteran presence on a deep receiving roster. Head coach Jon Sumrall noted that Jackson has remained a positive influence throughout training camp and is expected to contribute to the game plan. Jackson, who previously started nine games in 2023, now serves as a mentor for younger players while aiming to re-establish his role in the offense.
