Kaleb Shepherd commits to Rio Grande football for Fall 2026

Kaleb Shepherd, a standout offensive and defensive lineman from Wheelersburg, has signed with the Rio Grande football program. Following a successful high school career that included a state championship appearance, Shepherd aims to transition smoothly to playing linebacker at the collegiate level. He finished his final year with notable contributions on an offense that netted over 4,000 yards and averaged nearly 35 points per game. Shepherd expressed his gratitude for the support from his teammates and coaches at Wheelersburg, emphasizing his eagerness to pursue a nursing degree while continuing to play football. He will join other local players at Rio Grande starting in the Fall semester of 2026.
