Kansas City Chiefs prepare for week 1 matchup against Denver Broncos

Summary

The Kansas City Chiefs open their 2026 NFL season on Monday night against the Denver Broncos. Following a six-win campaign in 2025, the team enters the contest with several roster adjustments and returning veterans. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is expected to start after recovering from a knee injury sustained earlier this year. Joining him in the lineup are wide receivers Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice, alongside tight end Travis Kelce. This primetime matchup serves as the team's first opportunity to demonstrate progress under their revamped offensive structure.
