Kansas City Current sign Cameroon defender Myriam Maëva Nyadjou Wamen

The Kansas City Current have signed Cameroon Women’s National Team defender Myriam Maëva Nyadjou Wamen. The contract ties the player to the club through the 2029 NWSL season, pending the approval of her P-1 visa. Nyadjou joins the Current from Amazone FAP, where she competed in the Guinness Super League. The 2026 WAFCON Best Young Player was a key contributor during Cameroon’s championship run in the tournament, which secured the team a spot in the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Kansas City general manager Ryan Dell confirmed the signing, noting the club's intent to support the development of the young defender. Nyadjou expressed interest in beginning her career in the NWSL following her time in the top-flight women’s championship in Cameroon.
