Karlyn Pickens breaks two bats in AUSL pitching performances

Karlyn Pickens, the former Tennessee softball pitcher, broke two metal bats during her first season with Carolina in the Athletes Unlimited Softball League. In her last two pitching appearances, both resulted in broken bats: one on July 11 against Texas and another on July 17 against Chicago. Pickens recorded eight strikeouts in the earlier game but faced a loss, while she struck out three in the latter match. She is tied for the AUSL single-season strikeout record with 53 strikeouts.
