Kasi Currie commits to Texas over Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon

Four-star defensive lineman Kasi Currie announced his commitment to the Texas Longhorns on June 11, choosing Texas over major programs including Georgia, Ohio State, and Oregon. The 6-foot-4.5, 315-pound Currie, ranked No. 37 nationally and No. 2 among defensive linemen, visited Texas on June 5. His commitment adds to a growing 2027 recruiting class for Texas, which now includes 14 commitments and features six four-star prospects. The Longhorns aim to strengthen their recruiting efforts as the summer progresses, with notable talents like five-star receiver Easton Royal also part of the class.
