The card for ROH Before Before Dishonor was shuffled the night before the PPV. Nigel McGuinness is out of the Pure Championship match, and his replacement is a former champion. The veteran defeated Wheeler Yuta on ROH TV to replace Nigel at the PPV. Shibata is a former Pure champion in his own right holding the title for 239 days in 2023.
