Keith Smith, a 2027 running back and return specialist from Bradenton, Florida, has announced he will transfer to IMG Academy for the upcoming 2026 high school football season. He made the announcement via a social media post, expressing excitement about competing with the Ascenders, who are coming off an undefeated season. Last year, Smith accumulated 1,739 all-purpose yards and 16 touchdowns with the Manatee Hurricanes. At IMG Academy, he is expected to play primarily on special teams and face top-tier competition in a schedule that includes several out-of-state opponents. The Ascenders ended the previous season ranked No. 1 in Florida and No. 3 nationally in the Rivals national rankings.
