Kennedy Blades earns spot on US Senior World wrestling team

Kennedy Blades qualified for the United States' Senior World team during the Final X wrestle-offs held on September 25. Blades secured her position in the women’s 68-kilogram weight class after her competitor Bella Mir withdrew from the matchup. Blades, a two-time national champion from Iowa, previously won a bronze medal at the 2025 Senior World Championships and silver at the 2024 Olympics. Meanwhile, Kylie Welker lost her chance after dropping the final match to Dymond Guilford at 76 kilograms. Real Woods lost his matches against Bo Bassett at 65 kilograms, marking tough competition for the returning bronze medalist.
