Kenneth Walker III previews his first regular season game for the Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker III addressed reporters on Saturday ahead of his debut for the team at Arrowhead Stadium. The veteran is scheduled to play his first regular season game for Kansas City on Monday night. Walker characterized his mood as calm while acknowledging the work put in during organized team activities and training camp to prepare for the contest. Beyond his own role, Walker praised the development of younger teammates Brashard Smith and Emmett Johnson throughout the off-season. The Chiefs acquired Walker this year to bolster their backfield following a 2025 campaign with the Seattle Seahawks where he recorded over 1,000 rushing yards and five touchdowns. He enters the Monday night opener looking to transition his previous production to the Kansas City offense.
