Kentucky Basketball moves on from Darius Wabbington in 2027 recruiting

Kentucky Basketball will not pursue center Darius Wabbington, who is ranked as a top-15 overall prospect. Wabbington, from Sunnyslope in Arizona, had been considered a potential fit for head coach Mark Pope’s system. He will now visit Illinois, North Carolina, and Indiana, filling the spot originally slated for a trip to Kentucky. Despite this setback, Kentucky's recruiting board for 2027 remains strong, with 22 scholarship offers extended, including to recently committed 5-star recruit Ryan Hampton.
