Kentucky targets Nikola Kusturica for 2026-27 basketball roster

Summary

Kentucky Basketball is pursuing international prospect Nikola Kusturica, a 6-foot-9 wing from Serbia. Kusturica is projected as a high pick in the 2028 NBA Draft after a standout performance at the 2025 FIBA U16 EuroBasket Tournament, where he averaged 20 points and was named MVP. Recently, a prediction emerged favoring Kentucky to secure Kusturica's commitment, shifting momentum away from Gonzaga, who had been viewed as the frontrunner. If Kusturica joins Kentucky, he is expected to significantly impact the Wildcats over his two seasons before NBA eligibility.
