Kepa Arrizabalaga returns to Athletic Club for Basque Country friendly

Kepa Arrizabalaga has been called up to represent the Basque Country in an upcoming friendly against Venezuela at San Mames on November 14. This match signifies a notable return for the Arsenal goalkeeper to his former club's home ground after leaving Athletic Club in 2018 for Chelsea. Arrizabalaga is among a mix of foreign-based players included in the 22-man squad. The friendly not only focuses on football but also commemorates the 90th anniversary of the Basque government, recognizing the region's historical ties to Venezuela. As Euskal Selekzioa aims to maintain an undefeated record against Venezuela, Arrizabalaga seeks valuable playing time before returning to Arsenal.
